Hey, its me Swati Piparsania.
I recently finished my foundation programme at Srishti school of art, design and technology, Bengaluru, India. I did my schooling from Delhi Public School, Bhilai, Chhattisgarh; which is also my home town. I had science, maths and computers as my subjects during high school.

Everything is a design and everyone is a designer. Anyone who makes life easier and simpler is a designer.

Public Installation

This installation was meant to provoke patriotism amongst the youth.
Its a bell with the poem Geetanjali by Rabindranath Tagore engraved on it.

This is an illustration for beef market.

CD cover

I designed this CD cover which had my favorite songs.
There are 10 songs for which I have made 10 illustrations.
The album's name is me and you.

Animation

Like a cicida

We made a story around based on our collage. The story is about a girl who’s parents died in the protest and the way she struggles  for her rights. How the world moulds her into an entirely different person. The video is based on the poem - like a cicida. Every bit in the movie rephrased into something abstract which gives the message in a different way.

Furniture

This design is simple and compact. When its packed it becomes an octagon cylinder. It’s a good seating for 4 people when they go for picnic . Ideally it will be made of light weight wood like beach wood. All the 8 sides have legs. Alternate legs fold in to a seat. Total length of the leg is 2 feet and it bends at 1 foot, making a seat. The table has a storage, right in the middle its big enough to fit in all the crockery. There are legs that are folded behind the seats and they open up along with the seats. Width of each leg is 1 footLength of each leg is 2 feetEach side of the table is 1 foot

This design looks simple but is very complicated when it comes to functioning. It’s a normal wooden chair with 4 legs which becomes 2 chairs not facing each other and sharing the backrest.
Working: The backrest of the normal chair becomes the other seat which has a folded leg behind it. There is one flap which is kept on top of the normal seat and is joined by L angle to the backrest. This flap comes up and becomes the common backrest for the 2 chairs

In this design the chair knocks down into a suitcase. The chair has a back rest which folds into the seat by 270 degrees. The seats and the back rest has bars which block the 90 degree turn. The legs were initially folded inside making the chair short. But then we changed the idea and then the two legs at the back are attached to the backrest.
